Thanks to our generous donors, $1525 in donations have been received by ASPHN so far this year!  We are pleased to announce that $1000 of those donations were made in memory of Lynda Alfred, a long-time ASPHN consultant who passed away in March 2016 following a short battle with multiple myeloma.  Many thanks to: Becky Adams, Cyndi Atterbury, Carolyn Donohoe Mather, Carol Friesen, Suzanne Haydu, Amy Koren-Roth, Donna McDuffie, Karen Probert, Marsha Spence, Robin Stanton, Takako Tagami and Ann Weidenbenner (and others who donated anonymously) for your generous support of ASPHN!

Meeting Summaries

The ASPHN Board of Directors met on January 13, 2017. The Board:

Welcomed new Expanded members Chris Bilbrey (CA), Jacquelyn Bonde (NV), Courtney Hardoin (CA), Michele Kawabe (MI), Kim Lombard (MI), Ashley Osterman (CA), Jameshyia Thompson (MS);

Passed a motion to add "Recognize effort" as a new guideline to the "Guidelines for How We Work Together" document;

Passed a motion to accept the revised 2017 budget with changes to the health equity internship fund after termination of the contract with Directors of Health Promotion and Education, and addition of revenue and expenses for the contract with the Ohio Department of Health for the Moving to the Future training webinars; and

ASPHN consultants submitted three cooperative agreement and funding reports in December.
