ASPHN invites you to this year’s Annual Meeting, 2020 Vision & Leadership in Public Health Nutrition. Originally scheduled to be held in Denver from June 14-16, we have made the difficult decision to hold the meeting virtually instead. The health and well-being of our members, speakers, and consultants is simply too important.

We know how disappointing it is not being together in one place. We are making every effort to make our virtual gathering as engaging as our in-person events. This is new territory for all of us. But we’re determined to get creative. Change things up. And come together in a different and powerful way.

Now, more than ever, we need to connect. Our meeting theme couldn’t be more relevant during this public health crisis. In the coming weeks, we’ll be posting details about the schedule, session topics, speakers, and networking opportunities we have in store.

In the meantime, please be sure to contact Cyndi Atterbury if you have any questions. Thank you for your patience and your understanding.

REGISTRATION IS EASY! There’s no fee to register and we encourage all nutrition professionals to register today and invite your colleagues to join us as well.

If you made a hotel reservation prior to this change, please call 1-844-330-7212 and reference “ASPHN Annual Meeting Rate” to obtain a refund.

A Unique Growth Opportunity

2020 has ushered in a new decade and a fresh opportunity to sharpen our focus in public health nutrition. ASPHN is leading the way with 2020 vision.

In addition to federal updates from CDC-DNPAO, MCHB, USDA, and NIH, Maya E. Maroto, EdD, MPH, RD, a Public Health Educator in the Education and Outreach Branch of the FDA will update us about FDA’s upcoming Nutrition Facts label education and awareness campaign.

We encourage all ASPHN members to attend the Annual Meeting to connect and share ideas with colleagues from around the country. From students, to emerging leaders, to seasoned professionals, everyone benefits from the positive and supportive atmosphere.

Additionally, our meeting is open to non-members. If you’re a nutrition professional, we encourage you to take advantage of this virtual opportunity. Whether you work at the local, tribal or state level … in state WIC … or in the community or non-profit arena, ASPHN’s Annual Meeting is an event you won’t want to miss.

An outstanding meeting is in the works! A draft agenda will be available soon.

Due to our recent decision to change to a virtual platform, Denver will be our destination for the ASPHN 2021 Annual Meeting.

ASPHN invites all participants to submit poster presentations for the meeting that highlight community and public health nutrition activities, programs, and research. Submit your poster presentation here!  The deadline is April 29.

Please contact Cyndi Atterbury with any questions.
