The Department of Health Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2022-2023. Rank will be dependent on experience and stature in the field. The appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 29, 2022.

The position will require the incumbent to teach three courses per semester (fall and spring) in public health, including, but not limited to introduction to public health, global health, and/or health program planning. All faculty are expected to hold office hours and participate in School and University activities and service. The Department of Health Studies is an active department with large student enrollment; multiple research initiatives; and community service activities.
