Event Details
CSPI, in partnership with the Nutrition & Obesity Policy Research & Evaluation Network (NOPREN) Food Service Guidelines Work Group, is conducting a systematic review of research on healthy food service guidelines and similar interventions. Food service guidelines are standards and best practices that can be used to increase healthy and safe food options in settings such as government facilities and programs, worksites, colleges and universities, food pantries/food banks, and healthcare facilities. This study will help to identify what additional research is needed to understand the efficacy of food service guidelines for shifting the food environment and improving diet quality and health outcomes.
We are searching for an intern to conduct the systematic literature search, screen articles for inclusion, extract relevant study characteristics and findings, and, if time permits, contribute to drafting a manuscript for a journal submission. The intern will work closely with NOPREN Food Service Guidelines Work Group leadership, including participating in periodic meetings. The intern may have the opportunity to support other projects at CSPI as needed throughout the summer.
