This position will work with an interagency team of program coordinators and support partners to continue the development of a uniform program across ALTSD, PED, and ECECD, including the administration of state appropriated monies, on-boarding and verifying of farmers, and trainings/professional development for nutrition providers. The incumbent will be expected to develop technical assistance manuals, memos, etc. to ensure compliance with USDA regulations. The position will oversee all aspects of program, including curriculum development, evaluation, daily operations, and administration. Incumbent will recruit and develop relationships with local farmers. Oversee the creation of program related education materials. Coordinate and implement the development of a senior services level nutrition program and develop statewide nutrition education for senior centers and food authorities and contracted senior service providers in regards to Farm to Senior Centers and its important work across the State of New Mexico. Provide technical assistance to senior services programs that are having difficulties meeting the requirements, procuring locally grown farmers and assisting with the process of helping farmers getting funding for their produce. Work closely with the Governor¿s Office to ensure success of priority food security initiatives.
