The Institute for Health Equity and Social Justice Research and the Center for Health Policy and Law, both at Northeastern University, invite applications for a full-time post-doctoral Research Fellow beginning in Summer 2022 to contribute to our ongoing work on the Salus Populi program. Salus Populi: Educating the Judiciary About the Social Determinants of Health is a project that seeks to provide guidance and training to judges and lawyers on the impact of the law on the social determinants of health. The fellow will work closely with the Salus Populi leadership team, Professors Alisa Lincoln and Wendy Parmet, along with others on the Salus Populi team Northeastern University Public Evaluation Lab (NU-PEL) team to further develop the curriculum to be provided to judges and lawyers, will serve as an instructor in the trainings, train additional instructors, and will help to develop and implement a robust evaluation of the impact of the Salus Populi training on the knowledge and practice of participants. The position is intended to prepare scholars interested in research at the intersection of the social determinants of health and the legal system for future research careers in either academic or non-academic positions.
