The School of Health and Consumer Sciences is inviting applications for a 12-month, non-faculty exempt position to direct and manage the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited bachelor’s to master’s graduate program in Nutrition and Dietetics M.S. (NDMS) at South Dakota State University (SDSU), to teach in the undergraduate and graduate nutrition and dietetics program, and engage in scholarly activity that enhances the profession. In compliance with ACEND, SDSU, and the South Dakota Board of Regents policies and procedures, the Director is responsible for development and implementation of procedures to effectively manage all components of the NDMS program to include the recruitment of supervised experiential sites, training preceptors, and placement of interns for supervised experiential learning experiences. The Director also ensures fair, equitable and considerate treatment of prospective and enrolled students (such as program admission, retention and completion policies). This position is responsible for student recruitment, advisement, evaluation and counseling to the graduate nutrition and dietetics program.
