This position serves as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies and is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing all operations and administrative functions for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) County Programming and Operations. The assistant director has substantial responsibility for directing and controlling program operations and is accountable for the allocation of resources and program results. Independent judgment and discretion in work directly related to management policies and department business operations as well as delegated authority to make commitments that affect department operations is expected in carrying out duties in the areas of budgeting, accounting, outside contracts, personnel supervision, and oversight of the day-to-day administrative activities of the program. This position serves as the Principal Investigator for multiple SNAP-Ed programs.
