Food Service Guidelines —Resources—

This is a collection of Food Service Guidelines (FSG) products used by states.

Through support of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity (DNPAO), the Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) conducted an assessment of state health agencies regarding the food service guidelines (FSG) strategy.

This Food Service Guidelines (FSG) resource page addresses one need identified from the assessment:
To provide a collection of resources provided by states, highlighting FSG success stories, guideline development and partner collaboration efforts.  These FSG resources are identified by the FSG category or setting they are implemented in: worksite, cafeteria, blind, vending, healthy meetings, procurement, hospital, faith-based, food pantry, parks, and community.  (Note: many resources may fit into multiple categories.)

ASPHN’s Vendors Training Guide Tool

ASPHN is pleased to offer the Vendors Training Guide Tool, a 31-page resource for nutrition professionals who create educational trainings for blind vendors and Business Enterprise Program (BEP) partners under the Randolph-Sheppard Act. The guide includes valuable data from various sources on topics which vendors have identified as paramount to better, healthful vending services and customer satisfaction. Results from a survey of 139 members of the National Association of Blind Merchants (NABM) are also included. Download your copy today!

Training Webinar

The Vendors Training Guide Webinar was hosted by ASPHN on April 15, 2020.
