Through support of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity (DNPAO), the Association of State Public Health Nutritionists (ASPHN) conducted an assessment of state health agencies regarding the food service guidelines (FSG) strategy.
ASPHN is pleased to offer the Vendors Training Guide Tool, a 31-page resource for nutrition professionals who create educational trainings for blind vendors and Business Enterprise Program (BEP) partners under the Randolph-Sheppard Act. The guide includes valuable data from various sources on topics which vendors have identified as paramount to better, healthful vending services and customer satisfaction. The Vendors Training Guide Webinar was hosted by ASPHN on April 15, 2020. The training reviewed key components of the guide, identified consumer and vending trends, addressed key challenges as identified by vendor data, and shared messaging resources to guide effective communication when working with vendors.
